I was thinking about God’s timing in our lives. Isn’t it quite funny how God works in our lives, always on His time and never on ours. Here is a question that I guess I will try to answer “when should a church plant really get involved with missions?” There is one line of thought kinda that says that a church should get strong enough first and only after that pay attention to missions. The people that argue this line of thought would say that “it is missions to grow our church first.”
Here is my take on the subject:
- When are you strong enough?
- Will there ever be enough money?
- Is everything on our terms, or is it on God’s?
- If we only do what we are comfortable with, and only do what we can. Do we really need God?
- Where would we be today if the early believers did that?
I am so blessed and proud to see money coming in every week that goes to Missions. It is a blessing to Pastor a church that is only 1 1/2 years old, still with many struggles, that has already done 2 Missions Trip. It is remarkable that there is already a “Iglesia Vision” right now is the Dominican Republic. I am blessed to have a team of 10 going to the D.R this July and I can’t wait for them to see what God is doing over there. Does it all make sense? Is all the money there? Are we strong enough? Or do we take God on His word when he told us to GO INTO ALL THE WORLD. Church, let’s keep on going!
