I am trying to write this post with sunglasses on and with my eyes squinting. About 1/2 hour ago I had an eye exam and the last thing that the eye doctor did was to dilate my pupils. All I can say it WOW! I probably shouldn’t have driven home, but you do what you have to do, and I did make it home without any accidents, thank God.
Through all this I was thinking about the passage in 2 Kings 6:15-23 where Elisha prayed that his servants eyes would be opened to see the Big Picture. After having my eyes dilated I can truly say that my eyes were opened up. It is remarkable how sensitive they became to light, etc. When your eyes are opened up spiritually the effect is somewhat similar. You see things with a different sensitivity and in a very different light. My prayer is that all of us would see things more from God’s perspective and not from our own.
