Last Sunday, as we finished the series “Vital Signs” I asked the question “Are you breathing yet”? Think about it, breathing is one of those things that we don’t think about, yet we are aware of it and we know the importance of it. There are many people out there that suffer from what I call spiritual asthma. God wants them to live life to the fullest and they are barely scraping by. I ended the message by talking about how to set life goals and I must give proper credit to Mark Batterson who inspired me in this area.
How to Set Life Goals.
#1 Start with Prayer.
Philippians 4:6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God
.#2 Check Your Motives.Proverbs 16:3 Commit to the LORD whatever you do, and your plans will succeed
#3 Think in Categories
For Example: 1) family goals 2) travel goals 3) physical goals 4) experience goals 5) influence goals. 6) spiritual 7) financial goals
#4 Be Specific
#5 Write Them Down #6 Include Others
