An eventful 2 weeks

Posted: April 23, 2008 in Uncategorized

The last two weeks have been quite eventful, here is a few highlights:

  • We had a riot on my street.  4 people with machetes, 15+ cop cars, ambulance and fire fighters.  Two people were tasered right in front of my house, and I thought that I lived in a quiet nice neighborhood!
  • We had to call 911 for my mother-in-law that was visiting.  She is a transplant patient and came down with pneumonia and some kind of infection.  After 6 days in the hospital she is now doing much better.
  • Someone rear ended me as I was driving my son to school.  No biggie both cars were OK.
  • Heather (who runs our children’s program) spent last Saturday night and Sunday in the ER with her dad that was sick, so she was obviously not at church on Sunday.
  • Daiana who leads our worship together with Johnny was in a car accident.  She is OK and doing much better even though she was quite banged up.
  • So, I had to lead worship in both services on Sunday.  What can I say, you gotta hear a Swede singing in Spanish…………
  • Anyways, I got a traffic ticket yesterday… no not for speeding.. you will probably hear about it on Sunday
  • Who knows what will happen today?
