Would Jesus have a MySpace account?

Take the population of Cuba, Bahamas, Jamaica, Haiti, Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Venezuela, Argentina & Sweden and you will have about the same number of people that have a MySpace account.
Would Jesus use MySpace? I truly believe that Jesus would do so. We are all fighting for space, relationships and community and Jesus immersed himself into the community of his day because people matter. This Sunday, we’re starting a two week series called “MySpace”. We are going to take a look on the INSIDE and get real with some of life’s most important issues.

I am pumped about “One Prayer”

Just take a look at some of these pastors & Churches:
- Life Church – Craig Groeschel
- Fellowship Church – Ed Young Jr
- Free Chapel – Jentezen Franklin
- New Spring – Perry Nobel
- New Birth Missionary Baptist Church – Bishop Eddie L. Long
If you got to pray one prayer what would it be? In July, over 888 Churches from 17 countries with a combined attendance of over 500,000 will join together (there are more churches joining every day). It will be awesome as our church will join with something much bigger than us.
Here is how it will work. July 8th I will preach a message to our church of what my one prayer would be. The following three weeks we will hear from three other pastors via video of what their prayer would be. Imagine all these churches joining together for one month under the same banner, heading in the same direction it’s going to be “insane”.
We have also made one message available for other churches to use during this series. That message is called “Make us never forget why you came”.

Are you a leader? Part #2

Far too many pastors forget the important principle that we are called to serve before the Lord. The truth is that a servant that does not please the Master will continue to be powerless. Are you a leader to please God, people, yourself or something else? This is a question that needs to be answered.
People can tell the difference as someone that has been in the presence of the Master. In Acts 4:13, it says: “When they saw the courage of Peter and John and realized that they were unschooled, ordinary men, they were astonished and took note that these men had been with Jesus”

Are you a leader? Part #1
May 10, 2008Leaders live with the responsibility to constantly go further with God. It does not mean that you should be a spiritual giant but, you must be at least half a step ahead to lead. To be a leader mean hat you are called by God and that you are willing to follow Him. This is often a lonely walk because you must make a path for others to follow you as you are following Christ.
Paul said in 1 Corinthians 11:1 Follow my example as I follow the example of Christ”

One Prayer Video Done!

Anthony finished our “One Prayer” video yesterday, and if you figure in the limited resources that we have he did a awesome job. I am excited to see what July will be like as over 700 churches worldwide will join under the banner “One Prayer“.

A very powerful Sunday!

We wrapped up the series “The BIG give” and spoke about the Holy Spirit and the gifts. It was amazing to see what was happening as people were asking for more of God. Words of knowledge, prophecy and the power of the Holy Spirit, you can’t ask for more. To cap it off we went out to Key Biscayne and had baptisms.

Revival in Lakeland, FL
May 5, 2008Some of you out there might have heard about what is going on in Lakeland, FL. Todd Bentley started a revival service about 30 days ago and it has progressed from a 700 seat auditorium, to 3000 seats, to 7000 seats and they are now at a baseball stadium seating 10,000 people.
As it is with these things I would encourage you to examine it for yourself, but I can say that I believe in the gifts, healing, the Holy Spirit, prophecy, etc. You can watch the services live on God TV or on streaming on the web at Todds site or on God Tv.
