God has so much more in store for you than what you have experienced until today. Ephesians 3:20 says that He “… is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us”. But, before you can set sail for God’s purpose in your life, you must ‘cut the rope, or raise the anchor’ that ties you to the past in your life.
You must forget your past hurts, offenses, and failures in order to move into your destiny. You must ‘cut the rope’ from our past failures.
You must also forget your past successes as well to move into your destiny. It’s not that you forget the good things. It’s that you don’t stay stuck in the past of what God did. You must move into what GOD IS DOING.
We don’t like to leave our comfort zone because…it’s comfortable in the zone. But if you want to reach your full potential in life, you have to be willing to leave your comfort zone. If you want something you never had, you’ll have to be willing to do something you’ve never done.
We want God to move, but we don’t want to change. We want everyone else to change. We want everything around us to change. But we don’t want change to begin with me. Change Begins with ME!
In Mark 4:35-41 we can learn some powerful lessons.
Jesus spoke to them to leave the shore and set sail in the evening. That was not the time to sail. People sail in the daylight. But often Jesus commands us to step out in faith during what we think is the inappropriate time.
Jesus and his disciples got in the boat, cut the rope that tied it to the shore, and started out for the other side. They began their journey to the other side because Jesus told them to go. When they went, they encountered a fierce storm.
So just because God tells you to go, doesn’t mean the journey will be easy.
Every time heaven sends a memo that He is going to promote you, the devil sends an attack that will oppose you. Often a sign that you are on the right track is that you are being opposed on your journey.
In fact, with every blessings and promotion–comes a new enemy (spiritually). We wish for a midget enemy not for a Goliath. But in reality, the size of your promotion is often preceded by the size of your enemy.
If you have a HUGE obstacle in your way, you may just have a HUGE breakthrough on the horizon as well.
Now….. Just because God allows the storm, does not mean that you are not in the center of His Will. The same God who allows the storm, speaks to the storm and commands it to ‘BE STILL’. When the disciples encountered the storm, Jesus made sure that they arrived at the other side.
Never forget that HE is WITH YOU!
