Vision Gives Back!

June 4, 2010
Yes, we gave away thousands of dollars!

Last week I told the Church that we would do something very special:

  • 99.9 % of Churches would NEVER do this
  • You WILL tell your co-workers, family & Friends about what your Church did on Sunday.   I am not kidding you!
  • If you don’t bring a FRIEND with you… I’ll promise you YOU WILL WISH THAT YOU WOULD HAVE!
  • Am I “hyping this” NO!
  • What are we doing?   You gotta be there to find out!

Now, I hope we didn’t disappoint you!  It was quite a sight to see all your facial expressions when I said that we were NOT receiving an offering but instead GIVING AWAY an entire weeks combined giving in CASH!   Remember that we are blessed to BE a blessing!
You can post your story and also read stories of how people “blessed” others at:

Help us help Haiti!

January 14, 2010

My heart goes out to the nation and people of Haiti and I know that so many are asking how you practically can help.

We have a great connection right in Port-au-Prince, Haiti with Pastor Jim and Maryse Cartright. Many of you have met Maryse and Jim as they regularly visit Vision Church as they are in Miami and as Maryse is the sister of Marie-Solange Benedict who attends our Church.

Pastor Jim and Maryse founded Tabernacle Evangelique de Bethel 1985 with 5 people and now has over 700 people attending the church.

Here is a link to their Website if you want to learn more about what they are doing:

http://www.logoshaiti.org/index.html

This is a ministry that has a proven track record of 25 years of ministry in Haiti. We will be able to send funds directly to the church and I can tell you that this is really needed and that 100% of what you give will go directly to them.

I can’t personally say enough good things about the Cartright’s and their ministry, you are giving to people that have a heart for God and a heart for the Nation of Haiti.

So, how can I give?

You can give right now, by using a credit or debit card : Click here to donate to Haiti.

You can also give on Sunday, just designate “Haiti” on your offering envelope. Thank you for everything that you are able to to. I know that together we can make a huge difference. Please help to spread the word………

Get God’s Perspective

January 13, 2010

Some toughs about Tamar in Genesis 38.

In Matthew she is mentioned in the Genealogy of Jesus, that’s quite interesting especially if you read the “messed up” story in chapter 38.

Do you think that she thought her life was a failure. Not what she had expected or dreamt about. Her life was not what she had planned or expected. But she had a son, that had a son, that had a son, that had a son – THE SON OF GOD

Sometimes we need that bigger perspective, a “generational perspective”!

1. God’s plan is bigger than your past mistakes
2) You and I can be part of His genealogy

John 1:12
Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God

B90X – The Bible in 90 Days!

January 7, 2010

At Vision Church Miami we are starting this new Decade and new year Navy Seal style! It’s time to get radical and shake some things up so we are going to implement B90X - the Bible in 90 days.

So, starting Monday January 11th, myself + many others are starting this 90 day journey together.   It’s not just the fact that we are reading but there will also be encouragement, accountability to help you stay on track!

I first heard about the idea last fall as Elevation Church led by their pastor Steven Furtick did this so I thought it would be a great way to start a new year and decade.

Now, just one small note, as tough as this might seam it’s very doable.  It’s a matter of time, dedication and perhaps some re-prioritizing.  I actually read the entire Bible in 30 days once……. I guess that would be called B30X?
