Day #17 Jonathan Falwell

Jonathan Falwell became the senior pastor of the historic Thomas Road Baptist Church (TRBC) in Lynchburg, Virginia, on June 3, 2007.  He was named pastor in a unanimous vote by the congregation following the death of his father, Dr. Jerry Falwell, who started TRBC in 1956 and served as the church’s pastor for 51 years.

In his role as pastor, Jonathan preaches each week to a 20,000-member congregation, with his messages also appearing on a variety of national television outlets.  TRBC typically welcomes about 12,000 in attendance each Sunday, as well as an additional 8,000 people for midweek services.

Jonathan leads a team of 250 staff TRBC members and presides over many planning sessions each week.

Pastor Warren founded Saddleback Church in Lake Forest in 1980 with one other family. Today, it is one of America’s most influential churches, with approximately 20,000 people attending the weekend services. Saddleback offers more than 200 community ministries and support groups for parents, families, children, couples, prisoners, addicts, people living with HIV/AIDS, depression, MS, Parkinson’s, autism, and many others.

Hi and his wife Kay are passionate about global missions and what he calls “attacking the five global giants” of poverty, disease, spiritual emptiness, self-serving leadership, and illiteracy.

His solution – The Peace Plan – is a massive effort to mobilize Christians around the world into an outreach effort to attack these five global giants of today by promoting reconciliation, equipping servant leaders, assisting the poor, caring for the sick, and educating the next generation.

Sergio De La Mora’s passion and mission in life is to “turn the hearts of youth and families all over the world back to God and back to each other.” Known for his visionary and leadership qualities, his passion is to inspire the nation to change the trajectory of their life by experiencing “The Power of A Turned Heart!”

As he has shared with thousands of people, “The course of a person’s life is always determined by the condition of a person’s heart.” It is this core belief that led him to found and Pastor Cornerstone Church of San Diego, the largest Latino led church in the history of San Diego which has ministered to its multi-generational and multi-cultural community for the past 10 years.

Sergio De La Mora and his wife, Georgina, are paving the way across generational and cultural lines with the life-changing message that there is “power in a turned heart”!

Day #14 Miles McPherson

A nationally known speaker, McPherson’s bold, down-to-earth, and humorous style has become his trademark. His relevant message challenges both the young and young-minded and often compels them to recalibrate their lives in light of the Gospel.

McPherson earned an Emmy Award in 2007 for a documentary on methamphetamine. An author of several books, McPherson’s latest release is DO Something! Make Your Life Count. This latest effort has resulted in the recent creation of Do Something World, an online community where individuals, groups and churches can join with thousands of others who have stepped up to change the world around them – and show how ordinary people can do extraordinary things with God’s transforming power.

Miles also leads The Rock Church in San Diego, CA.

Day #13 Rich Wilkerson, Jr.

Rich Wilkerson Jr. is a dynamic communicator with a passion to encourage and inspire this generation to live for Christ. His honest and upfront approach brings a fresh viewpoint and clarity to life’s issues.

Rich currently serves as an associate pastor at Trinity Church in Miami, Florida. Rich and his wife, DawnChere lead a weekly young adult gathering in Miami called The Rendezvous.

The Rendezvous has grown from 60 people since 2007 and now breaks attendance over 1300 weekly. You can watch Rich every week on JCTV as he hosts the talk show Top3 which features popular Christian personalities and round table discussion on current news.

Day #12 Benny Perez

Pastor Benny Perez loves Jesus and it is in that  love that he has been called one of the leading voices to this generation. His ministry has been marked by unique ways of ministering, and God has used him as a means to bring revival and genuine transformation in the hearts and lives of thousands.

In 2003, Pastor Benny and his wife Wendy founded The Church at South Las Vegas, which is now one of the fastest growing churches in the city where  nearly 3,000 people attend.

Pastor Benny’s vision for reaching people is not limited to the city limits. He continues to travel the globe where thousands of people have been touched by his unique preaching style which is marked by humor, passion and a genuine love for people.

Pastor Benny resides in Henderson, Nevada with his wife Wendy and their three children.
